There are lots of things you can work into your daily routine that can quickly become habit. Take a look:

Life is busy – the stress of making ends meet takes up most our free time. But that same creativity you use every day to meet the needs of all those around you is the same creativity you can use to find time for activity. There are lots of things you can work into your daily routine that can quickly become habit. Take a look:

  • Walk during a certain time every day, perhaps between your favorite t.v. shows, or during breaks at work .
  • Go for a short hike in a nearby park.
  • Take the stairs instead of an elevator.
  • Bike to work, to run errands, or to visit friends. Do you qualify for Spokane’s Walk, Bike, Bus program? It offers free incentives to encourage you to shift gears!
  • Spend an afternoon in your local community garden or sprucing up the flower beds outside your home.
  • Dust, sweep, mop or vacuum your home.
  • Walk while waiting for kids at a sports event or after-school activity.
